Eufy S1 vs Eufy C28
Eufy's own roller-mop family feud: the premium S1 against the mid-range C28. Both use the HydroJet always-clean roller that made us rethink robot mopping; the question is what the S1's extra couple hundred dollars actually buys on your floors.

Round by round
01Mopping
winner: Eufy S1Same concept, different muscle. The S1's roller presses harder and cleared 9 of 12 dried stains in one pass — best in our fleet — where the C28 managed 7 of 12, with the gap concentrated in baked-on messes like 24-hour juice rings. On routine kitchen film, results are indistinguishable.
02Vacuuming
winner: Eufy C28The C28 carries the bigger fan — 15,000 Pa against the S1's more modest spec — and posted slightly stronger raw debris pickup. Neither is a carpet machine; both lift their rollers over rugs and treat vacuuming as the supporting act. Mild edge to the cheaper robot.
03Dock & maintenance
winner: Eufy S1Both stations wash, refill, and heat-dry, but the S1's station is the more refined system — better drying, less frequent deep-cleaning of the tray in our experience. The C28 answers with a meaningfully smaller footprint, which apartment owners will count as its own win.
04Price & value
winner: Eufy C28The C28 delivers the core innovation — mopping with continuously rinsed water instead of an increasingly filthy pad — for hundreds less. Unless your floors regularly feature dried-on disasters, the cheaper roller does the same daily job.
The verdict
Buy the S1 if mopping performance is the entire point — kids, cooking, daily messes — and you want the best scrub a robot offers. Buy the C28 if you want roller-mop cleanliness at a rational price; for routine maintenance mopping it gives up almost nothing.
